A wedding ceremony, written for who you actually are

Wedding ceremonies in NYC.

A full ceremony, written for who you actually are. Honest vows, real laughter, the moment your guests will talk about for a decade.

Act 03 Architecture

What is included

The architecture of your day, in six pieces.

Each one written from scratch, paced to your room, kept legally clean from the first conversation to the certified copy.

  1. Chapter 01

A real conversation, not a form.

We start with a video call or coffee, no questionnaire. I ask the questions other officiants miss, like how you argue, what makes each of you difficult, what you want guests to feel by the end. The script begins in that conversation.

  2. Chapter 02

A script written from scratch for your day.

Every word is yours, drafted from the conversation, then revised until you can hear yourself in it. No templates, no fill-in-the-blanks. You read every line before the day, and we change anything that does not sound right.

  3. Chapter 03

Vow guidance for each of you, separately.

I work with each partner one-on-one if you want it, so the vows actually sound like the person saying them. The result reads like you, not like a Pinterest board, and arrives in front of your people without sounding rehearsed.

  4. Chapter 04

    Officiating, fully present and grounded.

On the day I am with you 90 minutes before, I read the room as it fills, I adjust pacing if a moment needs more breath. The ceremony runs the right length for the size of your gathering, paced for the laugh and the lump-in-the-throat both.

  5. Chapter 05

A rehearsal walk-through, if you want one.

Optional and honest. A 30 minute walk-through of cues, placement, and timing so nobody is guessing on the day. Most couples take it; a few do not. Either way works.

A wedding party walking through the ceremony space
  6. Chapter 06

License sign-off and NYC filing, handled.

You pick up the license; I sign it the day of, walk you through what to bring, and confirm the certified copy reaches you. No part of the legal piece is left to chance, and you never have to chase a clerk.

Act 03 Investment

From $1,500. Custom quotes after our first conversation.

Act 04 The places

The places

Twenty-something venues. One officiant who knows every one.

Cop Cot at 9am October Tuesday reads differently than Bow Bridge in June. The script is paced for the place.

Act 05 The voices

The guestbook

A handful of voices.

  1. We felt like we were talking to a friend, and she made our ceremony one to remember.

Stephanie + Justin Chateau La Mer Wedding ceremony
  2. We wanted an officiant that got us, and Robyn did just that. She treated us like family.

Veronica + Julie Gapstow Bridge, Central Park Wedding Wedding ceremony
  3. We felt like we knew her for years. If you're thinking about Robyn, just do it.

Patricia + Allen New York Public Library, Stephen A Schwarzman Building Wedding ceremony
  4. Robyn, working with you has been a wonderful experience for us!!! . We truly value the time you took to get to know us, to personally select words and passages that you knew would be meaningful for our ceremony. You really made our day special by making it special and as equally important to you as well. We truly appreciate the caring and love that went into your work! ♥️ THANK YOU!!

Millie + Rick THC The Hops Company, CT Wedding ceremony
  5. Robyn was a great officiant! She arrived early and was there to smooth over a lot of the obstacles I had on my wedding day! The ceremony was short and beautiful and I enjoyed every moment of it! She was amazing! Couldn’t have asked for a better person to help my husband and I start our new lives together!

Act 06 Questions

Common questions

Four things couples ask before booking.

  1. How far in advance should we book?

Most NYC weddings book six to twelve months out. I take a limited number of dates each month so every couple gets full attention, which means popular Saturdays in spring and fall go quickly. If your date is sooner, reach out anyway.

  2. Do you handle the marriage license?

You pick up the license at any NYC City Clerk office; I do the rest. I sign it the day of, file it after, and confirm the certified copy reaches you. I will walk you through exactly what to bring and when.

  3. Will you customize for cultural or religious traditions?

Yes, and I am good at this. Jumping the Broom, handfasting, Hindu pheras, Persian sofreh aghd, Catholic-meets-secular, blended families with stepkids reading vows. We talk through what is meaningful to you and write it in.

  4. What does the price include?

The first conversation, a fully custom script, vow guidance for each of you, the ceremony itself, license sign-off, NYC filing, and an optional rehearsal walk-through. Travel within NYC is included; destination weddings get a custom quote.
