Stephanie + Justin Chateau La Mer Wedding ceremonyWe felt like we were talking to a friend, and she made our ceremony one to remember.
Elopement ceremonies.
Just the two of you, a witness or two, and a ceremony that still has all the moments that make a wedding feel like a wedding.
Act 02 What it feels like
Dev & Maya K. · DUMBO Rooftop
Act 03 Architecture
A small ceremony with all the weight, in six pieces.
Built for gatherings of two to twenty, with the same care a 200-person ceremony gets and none of the overhead.
- Chapter 01
A 45-minute conversation, in person or on video.
Elopements need less prep, not less specificity. One real conversation about how you met, what made you choose this shape, and the line you want at the center. That is the script.
- Chapter 02
A short script with the moments that earn it.
Eight to twelve minutes, paced for a room of two to twenty. Every line has work to do. You read it through before the day; we cut anything that does not sit right.
- Chapter 03
Vow guidance, lighter and tighter.
Elopement vows are shorter on purpose. I give you a structure that gets you to the real sentence faster, and I work with each of you on the part that is yours.
- Chapter 04
Officiating with whoever you brought.
Two witnesses or twenty guests, a rooftop or a courthouse, the script is paced for the size of the room. Where to stand, when to pause, how to read a small audience that is paying complete attention.
- Chapter 05
Witness coordination, if you need it.
NYC requires at least one witness for the license signing. If your day is just the two of you, I can bring a witness from a small trusted network, or two if you want.
- Chapter 06
License sign-off and NYC filing on the day.
You pick up the marriage license; I sign it before we leave, walk you through what to bring, and confirm the certified copy reaches you. The legal piece is folded into the day, never an errand.
Act 03 Investment
From $850. Custom quotes after our first conversation.
Act 04 The places
The placesQuiet corners of a loud city. I know the ones that read right.
Wagner Cove at 9am Tuesday is one. Bow Bridge before the runners. A friend's apartment at golden hour. The right place is half of an elopement.
Act 05 The voices
A handful of voices.

Act 06 Questions
Common elopement questionsFour things eloping couples ask first.
- Do we need witnesses, and how many?
NYC requires one witness over 18 for the marriage license to be valid. Most elopements bring one or two. If you want just the two of you, I can bring a witness from a small trusted network so you do not have to coordinate it yourself.
- Where do people usually elope in NYC?
Wagner Cove, Bow Bridge, Cop Cot, Cherry Hill, Ladies Pavilion (all Central Park). Brooklyn Bridge Park at sunset. DUMBO rooftops. The steps of the Met before it opens. Battery Park. Friends' apartments. City Hall. I know the rhythm of each one.
- How long does the actual ceremony take?
Eight to twelve minutes on average. Long enough for the moments to settle, short enough that your two witnesses are not shifting their weight. The license sign-off adds five.
- Can we still have vows, rings, all the moments?
Yes. Personal vows, ring exchange, a reading if you want one, even a small unity ritual. The form is small; the weight does not have to be. We pick which moments are non-negotiable for you and keep the rest tight.
